Performance NotesAt 23 years of age, singer Alexander Stewart is already creating a buzz as one of the most precociously talented vocalists of the new generation. With a voice rooted in Connick and Sinatra - and with a touch of the Kurt Elling rasp - Stewart avoids being a nostalgic act with his judiciously off-beat choice of material and a decidedly contemporary energy level.

As well as clever re-arrangements of great standards, he translates the occasional pop song into jazz as well as adding some originals to his sets, including songs by his pianist and musical director Alex Webb.

Alexander's stunning ability has enabled him to play at some of the UK's most prestigious venues and events. Having performed at the legendary Ronnie Scotts jazz club in Soho, as well as Pizza On The Park in Knightsbridge on numerous occasions. He has also appeared on stage with Buddy Greco and Curtis Stigers - in a concert from the Cheltenham Jazz Festival broadcast live by BBC Radio 2 and on ITV1s Alan Titchmarsh Show. He has also performed live on BBC Radio London and other local radio stations.
