| Performance Notes | Delicatessen is a London-based group playing instrumental music and songs from the Balkan and Mediterranean regions and beyond. The band's line-up includes violin, accordion, oud, guitar, bass, darbuka, cajon and tablas, and 3 vocalists.
Delicatessen's sound reflects the diversity of the musicians' backgrounds (Greece, Japan, Turkey, France, Germany and the UK), their shared musical interests and their passion for performing familiar and less well known pieces in a unique, engaging way.
Their music weaves a colourful tapestry of moods and emotions, telling stories through the sounds and melodies of heart-stopping love songs, tales of everyday life and driving dance rhythms. From Klezmer to Sephardic, Rebetiko to Rai, their aim is to delight their audiences with a musical feast from East and West.
