Performance NotesFollowing on from the hugely successful ignite series in the Café Consort, the Royal Albert Hall Education department worked with Music for Youth to give talented young musicians from around London a unique performance opportunity at the Royal Albert Hall. The free ignite series took place in the Royal Albert Hall's Café Consort and featured various performances from gypsy jazz to Parisian folk.

The Plastic Youth Jazz Orchestra (PYJO) was formed by four friends who all attend the Royal College of Music Junior Department. The group was created when two of the members Jasper and Mark, ventured beyond their ordinary instruments and bought a plastic trombone and a plastic saxophone. After deciding to put two and two together the Plastic Youth Jazz Orchestra was formed adding Alistair, the keys player (plastic keyboard) and Jake the drummer (plastic Drum Kit).
