| Performance Notes | Following on from the hugely successful ignite series in the Café Consort, the Royal Albert Hall Education department worked with Music for Youth to give talented young musicians from around London a unique performance opportunity at the Royal Albert Hall. The free ignite series took place in the Royal Albert Hall's Café Consort and featured various performances from gypsy jazz to Parisian folk.
Each year the Music for Youth present 3 Schools Prom concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. Across the three nights over 3000 young musicians from across the UK take to the stage of the World's most famous concert hall. The performers embark on their journey in the spring, performing alongside 50,000 other performers in over 70 regional festivals. 2012 will see Junior ignite concerts presented in the Café Consort on each of the School Proms days giving some of the talented young musicians the chance to further showacase their talents in a more intimate setting. Details of the performers will be announced at the beginning of September. |
