Performance Notes | 2000 singers from AC Academys choirs will unite on the Royal Albert Hall stage this May to honour the Queens Platinum Jubilee, the Commonwealth and the communities within it.
At the heart of the evening is the world-premiere of composer Toby Youngs incredible It Takes a City, commissioned by Armonico Consort and influenced by people from across the Commonwealth. This powerful new work is inspired by the saying, it takes a village to raise a child, and is a celebration of the importance of community, diversity and individuality amongst families across the world.
The festivities will continue with a special vocal fanfare written by Hollywood composer David Buckley, alongside some well-known favourites guaranteed to get your feet tapping there may even be the chance for the audience to warm up their vocal chords and join in!
