Both passionate about the violin and piano duo repertoire, violinist Joana Valentinaviciute and pianist Jennifer Hughes have been performing together since they met at the Royal College of Music in 2011. A mutual affinity with twentieth century and contemporary violin and piano duo repertoire is something the two are particularly enthusiastic about promoting in their recital programming.
Lithuanian born violinist Joana Valentinaviciute made her concerto debut with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra in 2010 and has presented recitals in Canada and across Europe including the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands and Lithuania. Joana has played with orchestras such as the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchestra, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia Valencia, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and in 2008 was invited to be First Violin with the Malmö Opera Orchestra.
Jennifer Hughes is much in demand as an instrumental duo partner and song pianist. She has performed across the UK and Internationally and won numerous prizes for accompaniment. |
