| Performance Notes | The Royal Albert Hall will host the UK premieres of Star Trek - Live in Concert and Star Trek - Into Darkness Live in Concert.
Following on from Star Trek - Live in Concert at the Hall the day before, Star Trek Into Darkness will also see Michael Giacchino's score brought to life on stage by the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Ludwig Wicki, whilst J. J. Abrams critically acclaimed film is shown simultaneously in high definition on the big screen.
Star Trek Into Darkness is the follow-up to J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, the 2009 rebooting of the classic film franchise, and sees Captain Kirk leading a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction, responsible for a number of terrorist attacks including one here in London. The film received widespread critical acclaim upon release and, following worldwide box office success, has become the highest-grossing Star Trek film of all time.
The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) rated the film as a 12.
