Performance TitleReflect - Free Exhibitions - 'LoveMusicLoveFood' - Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) Art Exhibition
Performance Date19 March-18 April 2010
Performance NotesAs part of the Hall's reflect series, LoveMusicLoveFood is a selection of images by award winning photographer Patrice de Villiers who shoots a galaxy of music stars. Combining food and music, this exhibition is a unique selection of portraits of musicians with their favourite food or drink, anything from cupcakes to blueberries and milkshakes to mojitos to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. Shakespeare taught us that music is the food of love but did the Bard know what Siouxsie Sioux eats for breakfast? Where Sophie Ellis Bextor gets her culinary kicks? Or how Roger Daltrey was the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall of rock & roll? From tacos with The Killers, tea with Noel Gallagher and pancakes with Marina & the Diamonds this is truly a feast for the eyes! The show features exquisite black and white prints created from polaroid negatives and their richly colourful counterparts destined for the glossy high street version of the book along with some intriguing behind the scenes images.
