DescriptionLarge carved wooden coat of arms, painted and gilded. Commissioned by the Hall and displayed in the same central position in Door 6 since c.1960s - could pre-date this to 1871 (no photos of this area pre 1960s as supporting evidence). The Royal Arms are displayed because HM Queen Elizabeth is Patron of the Hall, as have all monarchs since Queen Victoria due to the Hall having a Royal Charter sealed in 1867.
