Performance NotesThe world's finest dancers from seventeen countries competed at the Royal Albert Hall for the coveted titles of The World Professional Modern Championship and The World Professional Latin-American Championship. 1967's Championships were held in Australia when the handsome West German couple Rudi and Mechtild Trautz won the Latin-American title and were third for the Modern. But this year it is expected that Britain's Bill and Bobbie Irvine who won the Modern title and were second to the Trautzes in the Latin American will be trying very hard for the double.

The programme included a special Anglo-Danish event and the Final of the Star United Kingdom Formation Team Championship. This event has now been whittled down to the Penge and London N.20 Latin-American formation teams whose precision routines were so popular in Come Dancing.

The event was broadcast on 14 May 1968 at 22:25 on BBC Two television.
