"...So there followed every year after the maroons had sounded, a call to the nation for two minutes of silence. The buses and the trains would stop. The pedestrians all stood still. The mothers in their homes would leave their work. Then we would all remember; and because we remembered, never again could such a thing happen. And then as the wheel turned, we all began to see the factories making more weapons of destruction- for some other mother's son - and a new generation coming alongl and the significance of that silence was forgotten. We came into another world war. The dreaded Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse appeared in the world raining death and destruction from the skies. We had forgotten that the first world was was fought out to end all wars. ..." (Psychic News, 16 November 1957)
