Performance NotesThe entire ceremony which consummated the union of the Wesleyan, Primitive and United Methodist Churches, was broadcast by BBC Radio. The event was relayed to the Central Hall, Westminster, the London headquarters of Methodism.

The Deed of Union created the new Methodist Church which would be the largest Nonconformist Church in Great Britain.

The Duke and Duchess of York travelled from Scotland specifically for this event and then returned on the night train.
