Performance Notes	The Prince of Wales spoke for half an hour and appealed to the mass of young people in the audience to be involved in national service and to be good neighbours and volunteer locally to better communities. Seated on the stage behind the Prince of Wales were the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Chief Rabbi, the Cardinal Archbishop or Westminster, the Lord Mayor of London, and leaders of the Services and social services. The speech was broadcast by BBC radio at 20:00 and relayed to 260 other meetings all over the UK. The event was recorded and released as a gramophone record by The Gramophone Company, with profits from sales devoted to the National Council of Social Service.
