"WALL OF FOG IN LONDON.
...During its tour of the West-end and Kensington the fog invaded the Albert Hall, where Galli-Curci, the famous coloratura soprano, was singing. The great singer defied the thick atmosphere, which made many of the audience cough, and, though she could be seen but hazily, her voice penetrated the murkiness as pure and beautiful as ever. She was given a great ovation on this, her first London concert for a long period."
