Performance NotesThis Prom was knicknamed the 'Bare Bottom Prom' because a young woman in Loggia Box 28 mooned the entire audience. The BBC complained to the Hall about the woman 'mooning' and the preceding bad behaviour of those seated in the box after they closed the curtains for the duration of the performance. Shortly before the start of the final piece the women opened the curtains and mooned the Prommers, which was described on BBC Radio. The venue's General Manager commented to the Press, "We don't like this kind of thing at the Royal Albert Hall." The Box was owned at the time by rock star Jimmy Page.
