Performance Notes | "500 DANCERS JOIN IN FOLK PATTERNS. "KALEIDOSCOPIA VIVA," performed at the Albert Hall on Saturday night, was a dance show on an enormous scale, bringing together 500 performers from all over the country to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Laban Art of Movement Guild. ...What stood out in general was the skilled professional production by Gerladine Stephenson. Her specific choreographic contribution was the finale, in which she skilfully manoeuvred all 500 dancers over the central oval in round dances based on folk-dance patterns. Also impressive, though quite different, was the combined dancing and percussion playing of young children from Westbourne School, Sutton, durected by Mollie Davies."
