"ASSURANCE ON UNIONS' SUPPORT
Mr George Woodcock, general secretary of the Trades Union Congress, assured the Union of Post Office Workers last night of the good will and moral support of the whole of the trade union movement in their 'work-to-rule' plan. His assurance was received with cheers by the crowded gathering of union members from branches throughout the country who attended a rally at the Albert Hall. Mr Woodcock said it had become abundantly clear that the only thing that could make the Government withdraw their wages pause was force."
