Biography
the Printers' Pension Society was founded in London in 1827. It was soon followed in c.1837 by the Printers' Almshouse Society and then in 1863 by the Printers' Orphan Asylum. In 1865 all three societies were incorporated by Royal Charter under the title of the Printers' Pension, Almshouse and Orphan Asylum Corporation. In 1972 this became the Printers' Charitable Corporation.
