| Biography | The National Church League was founded in 1906 by amalgamation of two earlier bodies.
In 1950 the league was merged with the Anglican Church Association (founded 1865) to form the Church Society.
The committee was set up to oppose changes to the the Prayer book of the Church of England (1927-1928). |
