Biography | Alan Stringer (8 December 1928, Manchester, England - 8 September 2012) was a British trumpet player.
Stringer was principal trumpet of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (RLPO) from 1953 to 1993, apart from a year (1960 - 1961) as principal with the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO). After retirement he moved to France and lived in Nerac, between Bordeaux and Toulouse. |
