Biography | Frikki Alberta was regular fixture on the British wrestling scene from 1961 until 1964. He was a former rugby player, but turned to professional wrestling. He was trained by South African promoter Johan "Bull" Hefer. He turned professional in 1956, aged 2.
He settled in Britain for a few years, fighting against the likes of Clay Thompson, Johnny Kwango, Charlie Fisher, Dave Armstrong, Majid Ackra, Tony Mancelli and Johnny Yearsley. At the Albert Hall, he fought against Russian wrestler, Josef Zaranoff, losing by the odd fall in the final round. |
