BiographyPaul Archibald is a British trumpet player. His first job was as co-Principal trumpet with the Royal Opera House. This allowed him chance to work with major conductors such as Carlos Kleiber, Sir Colin Davis and Sir Georg Solti. He toured extensively with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, being their youngest recruit in history, and with the English Brass Ensemble and the London Sinfonietta. After meeting the conductor John Lubbock, he joined the Orchestra of St John's and teamed up with musicians collectively known as the Britten Sinfonia.
