BiographyThe Catholic Young Man's Society of Great Britain was founded by Dean O' Brien of Limerick in 1849. Dean O'Brien came to England in 1854 and established two brances in Liverpool and Sheffield. By 1937, there were 380 branches in Great Britian with about 30,000 active members.
The objects of the society are Mutual Improvement and the extension of the Spirit of Religion.
