Biography | British mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge (born 1986, Liverpool, England) was featured as The Times Rising Star of Classical Music 2012 and made her professional opera debut as Cherubino in Fiona Shaws production of 'The Marriage of Figaro' for English National Opera in 2011, a role she has subsequently sung for Glyndebourne on Tour. She has also performed to critical acclaim with Opera North as Sesto 'Giulio Cesare' and Annio 'La Clemenza di Tito.'
She has appeared in concert with orchestras throughout the UK including the RLPO in her native city of Liverpool. Kathryn performs regularly in recital and has twice appeared at Wigmore Hall. |
