| Biography | Anthony Mee was born in Lancashire and began his musical studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
In recent seasons, Anthony has become well known for his portrayal of Bardolfo, having sung the role in major European houses such as Deutsche Staatsoper, Berlin conducted by Claudio Abbado, Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich conducted by Zubin Mehta, Salzburg Easter Festival conducted by Claudio Abbado, Salzburg Summer Festival conducted by Lorin Maazel and Ferrara Musica, Italy. He recently recorded the role for Deutsche Grammophon with Bryn Terfel in the title role. |
