Biography | Brought up in Barry and receiving her early education through the medium of Welsh, Rhiannon's career began as a singer, winning nearly 100 competitions, as a participant each year at the 'Urdd' as well as at the Chepstow, Bristol City, Kingswood and Longwell Green Eisteddfodau, culminating in being awarded the prestigious titles of '1989 Welsh and British BET Choirgirl of the year' (whilst a chorister at All Saints Church, Barry and as a student of Zoe Creswell). The final was held at St Georges' Church, Hanover Square, London with adjudicators; Sir David Wilcox, Harry Bramma (RSCM) and Peter Skellern. |
