NameMicallef-Inanga Duo (fl 1994-)
Datesfl 1994-
BiographyJennifer Micallef was born in 1976 in Malta and her partner Glen Inanga in 1973 in Nigeria. They have been collaborating since 1994 when they met during studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

In 1995, the Micallef-Inanga Duo were first prize winners in the ninth International Schubert Piano Duo competition held in the Czech Republic and were subsequently invited to return both as jury members and as performing artists. In 1996 they won the RTZ-CRA Ensemble Prize in the Royal Overseas League competition in London and in the same year were recipients of a Special Jury Award in the prestigious ARD International Competition for Piano Duos held in Munich. Their critically acclaimed début CD issued by the Royal Overseas League featured music by Poulenc, Martinu and Richard Rodney Bennett, and their subsequent recordings have attracted much praise.

Since their highly acclaimed South Bank début in the Park Lane Group Young Artists Series, the Duo have performed at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall and Wigmore Hall giving regular recital and concerto engagements throughout Europe, Canada, the USA and Asia.

Central to the duo's career has been the opportunity to work with other artists: the Duo have worked with the percussion ensemble BackBeat; Harlem Gospel Choir; the Kirov and Royal National Ballets. In July 2006, the duo were invited to make their BBC Proms debut at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jennifer and Glen are passionate about music education and regularly lead workshops and master classes in the UK and abroad. Performances in the 2007/2008 season included Hong Kong, the USA, Asia and Russia.
