| Biography | Scottish Polish soprano Natasha Day trained at the English National Opera on the 2012/13 Opera Works course. This summer she will complete her studies at the Royal College of Musics International Opera School where she is a Fishmongers' Company Scholar supported by a Ian Lombe Evans Award, under the tutelage of Dinah Harris.
Roles include Poppea Agrippina (English Touring Opera), Miss Wordsworth Albert Herring, Erste Dame Die Zauberflote, Lisetta La Gazzetta and Le Feu/Le Rossignol (RCMIOS), Mimi La Boheme (Haddo House Opera), First Lady Magic Flute (Nevill Holt Opera), Micaela Carmen (Winslow Hall Opera, Edinburgh Grand Opera), Jessie Mahagonny-Songspiel (UNAM) in Mexico City, Fiordiligi Cosi Fan Tutte (The Rye Festival), Elvira (Don Giovanni), Musetta La Boheme (Park Opera) and the title roles in Holsts Savitri (Minotaur Music) and Handels Acis and Galatea (Westminster Opera, Woodhouse Opera). Concert engagements include Brahms' Requiem, Berliozs La Mort de Cleopatre, Strauss' Four Last Songs, Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Mahler's Symphony No. 4, Mozart's Mass in C Minor, Requiem, Coronation Mass and Exultate Jubilate.
Natasha won First Prize at the Zlote Glosy Competition in Warsaw, Second Prize at The Filharmonia Czestochowska Competition also in Poland and The Most Promising Singer Award at the Emmy Destinn Competition in Prague. Natasha is proud to be supported by the Josephine Baker Trust and is a Concordia Foundation Artist. (October 2015) |
