A graduate of the Juilliard School of Music in New York and the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, Julie Boulianne was then perfected with Renata Scotto , of Roger Vignoles and William Christie . She won the Award for Professional Chamber of Opera Managers awarded to the most promising finalist at the International Music Competition of Montreal in 2007 , and Silverman Prize, offered by the International Vocal Arts Institute.
Julie Boulianne made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in the role of Diane ( Iphigenia in Tauris of Gluck ) and that of Stephano ( Romeo and Juliet by Gounod ). She shared the stage with renowned Plácido Domingo and Susan Graham .
