| Biography | British-Bahraini trumpet and flugelhorn player Yazz Ahmed has emerged as a distinctive and intelligent soloist and composer. Illustrious venues all over the world, from Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club to the Museum of Modern Art, have been graced with her seemingly effortless sound.
Ahmeds Electric Dreams project is an ongoing series of live performances and recording sessions in which she collaborates with her favourite musicians to create unique, spontaneous compositions. These free flowing and conversational improvisations make use of electronic effects, sound design, live looping and sampling in an exploration of contemporary jazz from a different angle. |
