BiographyJanette Mason, from her high profile gigs throughout the 90’s touring with artists like Seal, Oasis, k.d.Lang and Robert Wyatt, to the years on camera as Musical Director for Jonathan Ross and Antoine De Caunnes, has proven to be a consummate musician and a standout talent in Jazz, Pop, Indie, Rock and World Music.

Her skills as a composer can be heard in countless Television adverts and programs from Sex and the City, The Drew Carey Show, Come Dine With Me to feature films like Ruby Blue (2008 MEDB Films) starring Bob Hoskins, The Calling (MEDB Films) starring Brenda Blethyn, Susannah York, Amanda Donohoe, Corin Redgrave and Rita Tushingham, as well as the acclaimed Documentary Film Paris Was A Woman by Greta Schiller.
A mainstay of the British Jazz scene for over a decade, Janette has toured her unique sound in Europe, Israel, Japan, Thailand the United States, playing everywhere from The Atlanta and Rochester Jazz Festivals to Carnegie and Albert Hall.
Janette is also a successful recording artist and arranger.

Her hit debut album, Din and Tonic, was shortlisted by Guardian Jazz Critic John Fordham as a contender for "Jazz Album of the Year."
January 2009 brought the release of Alien Left Hand, featuring Julian Siegel, Tom Arthurs, Lea DeLaria, which garnered a Parliamentary Jazz nomination.
She is a sought after arranger and producer and has contributed tracks to Ian Shaw’s Drawn to All Things and Lea DeLaria’s The Live Smoke Sessions, which reached the Grammy Ballot in 2009.

D'Ranged, Janette's 2014 release featuring David McAlmont, Claire Martin, Tatiana LadyMay Mayfield, Gwyneth Herbert and Vula Malinga, has received rave reviews.

Janette is resident Musical Director at Hideaway Live Music Venue in London.
