BiographyAshley Wallen has a very distinct choreographic style by blending the old with new in his diverse collection of work from MGM inspired commercials and videos to his current show-stopping choreography featured in the 2018 Golden Globe Best Motion Picture winning film, THE GREATEST SHOWMAN starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Michelle Williams. Ashley also choreographed the spectacular live television promo performance of ‘Come Alive’ from The Greatest Showman with a cast of over 100 dancers which aired during CHRISTMAS STORY LIVE.

Originally from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, Ashley started training as a dancer in all styles at the age of 12 before landing his first big break as a dancer in KYLIE MINOGUE'S 'Intimate and Live Tour' of Australia and the UK at the age of 17. He went on years later to appear with Kylie on her 'On a Night like This Tour' in Sydney, Australia and then to choreograph her 'Love Kylie' Underwear launch in Melbourne. He appeared in numerous musicals including FAME, SISTERELLA, and FOOTLOOSE. In 2000 Ashley, was chosen to appear in Baz Lurhman’s musical movie MOULIN ROUGE. Ashley also went on to dance in films SCOOBY DOO, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and to choreograph the Australian film JOSH JARMAN.

Since arriving in London, Ashley has appeared and choreographed ITV's show IT'S NOW OR NEVER and was choreographer for ITV's hit show X FACTOR, Andrew Lloyd Weber’s SUPERSTAR, and BBC1's DANCEX working alongside world renowned choreographer Arlene Phillips where he appeared on screen as a judge and mentor. Ashley has had the pleasure of choreographing many of the UK's top artists including DANNII MINOGUE, RACHAEL STEVENS, BRIAN MCFADDEN, LEONA LEWIS and dancing with major international artists such as MARIAH CAREY, SEAL, ROBBIE WILLIAMS, JAMES MORRISON, VICTORIA BECKHAM, EMMA BUNTON, and many more.

Ashley’s commercial work includes HUGO BOSS, GAP, EVIAN ROLLERBABIES, and T-MOBILE dance in Liverpool street station with a cast of 400 dancers. T-Mobile lead to Ashley being asked to work with the BLACK EYED PEAS on a surprise for Oprah Winfrey and her 24th season kick-off party show to create the world’s largest flashmob in Chicago to their hit song "I Gotta a Feeling". Ashley worked with Hugh Jackman for all of the dancing campaigns for LIPTON'S ICED TEA and MCAINS OVEN CHIPS with a cast of 50 dancers.

Ashley teamed up with director William Baker to choreograph the West End Musical RENT remixed, the highly successful Burlesque show POLLY RAE, THE HURLY BURLY SHOW, andGHOST. Ashley previously worked with MADONNA as associate choreographer for her directorial debut film, W.E.. He also worked on the hit comedy film FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis and choreographed for ABC's musical comedy GALAVANT. Ashley has toured with ATOMIC KITTEN'S 'Greatest Hits Arena Tour', BLUE'S 'Greatest Hits' UK and Europe Arena Tour, and also danced in and choreographed WILL YOUNG'S 'Winter Arena Tour' and his 'Keep On' Arena Tour. Ashley has been able to work with Will Young for the past four years choreographing his award winning video "Your Game." Working with Young gave Ashley the opportunity to team up with well-known director Michael Gracey to choreograph CHARLOTTE CHURCH'S video "Call My Name", SUGABABES "Shape of My Heart", ALESHA DIXON'S "The Boy Does Nothing" and GABRIELLA CILMI'S "On a Mission." Ashley successfully combined UK R&B star JAMELIA and soul singer LEMAR for an unforgettable performance at the 25th anniversary Brit Awards.
