| Biography | Hector Ernest Adkins studied band conducting at the Royal Military School of Music in Kneller Hall Twickenham between 1910-1913. In 1911 he was a sergeant and musician in the 2nd Gloucester regiment. By 1913, he had become bandmaster of the 2nd Battalion Suffolk Regiment. Between 1921-1953 he was the bandmaster at the Royal Military School in Kneller Hall. A few years later, he wrote 'Treatise on the military band' |
