Biography | Arwen Arabella Hardy, known as Bella Hardy, is a contemporary folk musician, singer and songwriter from Edale in Derbyshire, UK. She performed in various line-ups as a teenager, including The Pack and Ola, and reached the final of the BBC Young Folk Awards in 2004, but it was the release of her debut solo album Night Visiting in 2007 which garnered her recognition at the forefront of modern folk music. She performs a combination of traditional and self penned material, and has been nominated four times in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, winning the Best Original Song Award in 2012 for The Herring Girl. |
