Biography | Katherine Broderick was the winner of the 2007 Kathleen Ferrier Award. She finished her studies at the National Opera Studio in 2008, having won the Gold Medal at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She is currently a member of the ENO Young Singers Programme.
Recent opera performances include Ortlinde Die Walküre for The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; Woglinde Götterdämmerung for Opera North and for ENO, Donna Anna Don Giovanni and Berta The Barber of Seville.
In concert, she has performed Verdis Requiem with Orchestra of Opera North and with the Ulster Orchestra and Dvoraks Te Deum with The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
Future plans include Helmwige Die Walküre with the Philharmonia Orchestra/Sir Andrew Davis and Miss Jessel The Turn of the Screw with the LSO/Sir Colin Davis.
A regular recitalist, Katherine has appeared in recitals at the Wigmore Hall with Malcolm Martineau and Eugene Asti, with Simon Lepper at the Opéra de Lille and on BBC Radio 3 with James Baillieu. Recordings include Strauss, Berg and Schoenberg Lieder and Britten songs with Malcolm Martineau, Mendelssohn Lieder with Eugene Asti and Schumann Lieder with Graham Johnson. |
