BiographyThe London Amateur Boxing Association was founded by Malcolm Harness in 1946. It was formally incorporated as a charity in 1949, as the London Youth and Recreational Trust.

The London ABA oversees the regulation of amateur boxing in the Greater London area. It functions to register boxers, certify officials and organise major events. The London ABA is affiliated to the Amateur Boxing Association of England. Billy Walker is the current patron of the London ABA. Henry Cooper was a past patron. Keith Walters is the Honorary Secretary of the London ABA and has been since 1995.

Some of the boxers and champions that came through the ranks of the London ABA include: Alan Minter, Frank Bruno, Terry Spinks, Chris Finnegan, Ron Cooper , Audley Harrison, Dave Charnley, Clinton McKenzie, Billy Knight and Terry Waller.
