Biography | Léon Achard was a French tenor.
After studying law at Louis-le Grand or Henri IV high school, he went on to take courses at the Conservatorie de Paris. He was awarded the First Prizes in singing and opera comique. Achard was then hired by the Theatre-Lyrique, directed by Leon Carvalho, performing in Le Billet de Marguerite, premiering in 1854. |
