Biography | Peter Keenan (8 August 1928; Anderston, Glasgow, Scotland - 26 July 2000) was a renowned Scottish bantamweight boxer of the 1950s. Keenan won European, British and Empire crowns in a distinguished 11-year career spanning 66 fights. Yet he will perhaps be best remembered for a title he never sought, and one which remained a constant source of exasperation; that of being the finest British boxer never to win a world championship. |
