BiographyThe Royal Academy of Music is a conservatoire in London, England and a constituent college of the University of London. Founded by Lord Burghersh in 1822 with the help and ideas of the French harpist and composer Nicolas Bochsa, it is Britain's oldest degree-granting music school. The Academy was granted a Royal Charter by King George IV in 1830. It is a registered charity under English law.
