BiographyDaphne Spottiswoode is a British pianist and music educator.

Spottiswoode made her debut in England with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at the age of twelve. After advanced studies with Kranz Reisenstein and Solomon in London, and, Lazare Levy in Paris, she performed as soloist with many orchestras including the London Symphony under Sir Adrian Boult and William Steinberg, the Halle Orchestra under George Weldon and the Liverpool Philharmonic under John Pritchard.

Spottiswoode has taught at the Royal Academy of Music, Manchester University and is presently teaching at the State University of New York at Purchase.
