The Queen and Prince Philip were accompanied by Admiral of the Fleet the Earl Mountbatten of Burma. The Lady Susan Hussey, Air Vice-Marshal Brian Stanbridge and Lieutenant Robert Guy RN, Mrs Patrick Campbell-Preston and Major Sir Ralph Anstruther Bt were in attendance.

"QUEEN'S CAR HIT BY EGG.
An egg was thrown at the Queen's car last night as she arrived at the Albert Hall for the British Legion Festival of Remembrance. It smashed on the back of the car. Two eggs hit policemen, one a chief inspector."
