Performance Notes | "RALLY OF GIRLS' CLUBS AT ALBERT HALL Lady Patricia Ramsey took the place of the Duchess of York at the Albert Hall rally on Saturday, organized by the National Council of Girls' Clubs, and received purses on behalf of the national appeal. A telegram from Lady Houston promising £100 was recieved by Lady Eleanor Keane, who presided, and Mrs Philip Snowden announced that Nottingham, although "trade is so nad in that part of the country." had given £350. In the splendid gymnastic display that day, they had, she said, the very best argument for girls' clubs. The Duchess of York, in her message, declared that such a gathering from all parts of the United Kingdom spoke as nothing else could for the need for a Central Council to focus opinion, procide guidance and material help, and organize training of club leaders."
