Performance NotesThe auditorium was transformed into a cathedral for this event by Michael Whiteley. The finale involved raising the set's gothic roof when an enormous rococo screen of 30 ft high golden angels (made of styrene) were hoisted heavenward with 20 ft tall gilded cherubs in attendance. The event was televised live by the BBC with links to Washinton, Moscow and Bethlehem. The event told the Christmas story seen through the eyes of the three kings.

The Hon. Mrs Legge-Bourke was in attendance.
