Performance Notes"The concert... was moderately attended, but nevertheless the items were good. The stage had been nicely decorated with the flags of the Allies, which added much to the surroundings. Mr P McGarry MLA who happened to be in town at the request of the President (Cr. Pyke) presided, and on the stage with him were Cr. Pyke, Dr. Buchanan, Revs W Theobald, R Ross-Edwards, J Macandrew and W A Murray.
After the singing of the National Anthem, Mr McGarty said it gave him much pleasure to be present that night. He considered Anzac one of the serious days of Australia. That one minute reflection at 12 o'clock on that day was one of sadness.
