The music was arranged by Sir Walford Davies as Master of the King's Musick, who was seated in the Royal Box. Massed choir of 1,000 voices.

The concert was broadcast live by National Radio at 20:35.

At the request of the King and Queen 'Jerusalem' was sung by the choir and audience, including the Royals, before the final song.
