Performance NotesHRH The Duke of Edinburgh became the first Royal to attend a charity wrestling contest since Tudor times. The event featured some of the top names in wrestling and raised £10,000 for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. He was joined by Labour MP and wrestling fan Bessie Braddock.

HRH The Duke of Edinburgh entered the ring and was introduced to wrestlers and officials before the event. He also entered the ring to present a trophy to Tibor Szakacs after his defeat of John da Silva.

The event was broadcast by ITA London, Channel 9 (A-R) television from 20:00-21:00.
