| Performance Notes | StoryQuest 2004 was a national festival tour of stories an storytelling to inspire reading and writing in children at the beginning of secondary school. Schools from across the country were invited to apply for tickets which were allocated on a first come, first served basis. All schools attended two sessions which lasted 50 minutes each. A selection of events ran concurrently, using all the magical spaces of the Hall. As a finale all schools were welcomed into the main arena to hear Baton Story at midday, written exclusively for StoryQuest 2004 by Malorie Blackman, Meg Cabot, Eoin Colfer, Kevin Crossley Holland, Michael Morpurgo, William Nicholson, Louis Sachar and Jacqueline Wilson. |
