Performance NotesThis was the first 'Classical Spectacular' held at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Classical Spectacular Concerts have become a regular part of the Hall’s calendar of events. They were created by promoter Raymond Gubbay, who has brought many other popular shows to the Hall and include a variety of well- known pieces of classical music with dancers, a light show, gunfire, lasers and fireworks. The concerts have a changing repertoire but have always included Elgar’s Pomp & Circumstance March No.1 in D, and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Op.49.

In 2013, the Classical Spectaculars celebrated their twenty-fifth season and they have now added a hugely popular Children’s Matinee show.
