Performance NotesBeach Volleyball had the shortest history of any sport at the Hall. The international match, which was Europe's first ever indoor beach volleyball event, took place on 3 December 1991, on a sand strewn arena. It featured big sporting stars of the time - Will Carling, Daley Thompson, Kriss Akabussi and American football stars Phil Alexander and Victor Ebubedike . Twenty minutes into the game the power failed, the lights went out and the game had to be abandoned!
