Performance NotesThe Minutes of the Council of the Royal Albert Hall show that in February 1939, the organiser of the concert (Dorothy Wadham) wrote to the Hall asking for a reduction in the Hall rental or a donation to the cause. The Hall agreed to donate fifteen guineas to the fund. (RAH/1/2/19).

As well as raising funds for Spanish children, the concert also celebrated the 40th anniversary of Casal's first appearance in London.
